Poetry Prompts Day 25 - The Door Goes Both Ways

I am not sure what my thoughts were when I created this prompt. Maybe it is about giving and receiving, or don't wait for the other person if you want or need something. Or maybe it is all about love, and how rare it can be that if and when it shows up in your life, to take a chance, go for it, don't hold back. You never know what good may come of it.

Poetry Prompts:

Write for five to ten minutes pondering, "The door goes both ways" and then choose what rings out and play with the below form. Or surprise us with something different.

Word Prompts:

Both ways
open
in and out
chances
giving
receiving

Suggest form: I do so love to count syllables, let's try a Triquain.

It's been a long, tiring month and we are in our last week; in our final stretch. Are your words dancing?

Remember, our prompts are only suggestions, you can find your inspiration wherever your muse leads you. Please visit the other participants, share the hashtag, #OctPoWriMo on social media, and share your link in the comments below. Let us know how this journey into poetry is going for you.

  11. Ah think I wrote this for an older prompt. But wasn't able to find the time to finish it on that day. I am glad to have found OctPoWriMo. I haven't managed to write everyday but I have atleast pondered on the prompts for most days.

Without any more words, here is my offering for today

  16. Don't look now but today's prompt did provoke something rather grotesque and visceral... I know, I know, big surprise. Usual warnings ("not for the squeamish") apply, though I do congratulate myself for staying rather tame throughout... tame by my standards, anyway.

    Title: "Downpour"

  17. Door goes both ways ....
What struck me is the balance in any relationship and human behavior. Some people are natural givers, some are incessant takers and most of the humanity falls in between those two extremes. To most part , extremes of both natures elicit difficulties , unrest and
disappointments... and thus moderation may be a happy medium... we are supposed to be taking from the society and should be giving back too ..

    Accounts

    A giver
    More Often a taker
    And everyone in between
World in between the giver and taker
    With accountant ultimate
    Pristine account
    True giver

    Miniscule
    Life of a bubble
    Fleeting on floating hand
    Flow of transactions transpired actions
    Exiting world empty handed
    Self balance sheets
    Legacy... sr
