OctPoWriMo Day 9

Do you always believe what you see? Do you view the world through rose-colored glasses? It’s a matter of perspective. I often miss small details in daily life, usually because I’m so wrapped up in my thoughts. There have been plenty of times when my husband changed the curtains or painted a room or got a haircut and I didn’t notice until days (or sometimes weeks) later. I am the Absent-Minded Professor at times.

I think, as writers, we see the world in a different way. We can take the mundane and pull out minute details others might not notice. The way we interpret what we see makes all the difference and what we see says a lot about who we are.

For today’s prompt, think about viewing things in a different way. Help us to see what you see and use your words to paint a vivid image.

    1. This is my favorite stanza -
I see life through a kaleidoscope
      I see sugar-coated lies
      I see honeycombed betrayal
I see sarcasm wrapped in a smile
I even see the hunger in the eyes of known and unknown.

      Perfect rant!
